Koutavos Lagoon is one of Argostoli’s most unique natural landscapes, a protected wetland that blends nature, calmness and scenic views right within the city.

Once a swampy area, it was transformed during the 19th century, with De Bosset Bridge crossing it and connecting both sides of Argostoli. Today, it is an important ecosystem, home to birds and marine life.
