Botanical Garden of Kefalonia

Botanical Garden of Kefalonia

Cephalonia Botanica is a structured natural garden just outside Argostoli, dedicated to preserving and showcasing the native flora of the Ionian Islands. It was established in 1998 by the Focas-Cosmetatos Foundation with an educational and environmental mission.

The garden includes themed areas such as medicinal and aromatic plants, endemic species, an olive grove, and a small pond, all connected by walking paths. It also operates as a research and educational space, hosting a herbarium and seed bank for rare plants.

Rather than a typical tourist attraction, it offers a calm and authentic experience  ideal for visitors looking to explore a different side of Kefalonia.
